Prayer Works!!

I am so happy to report that I have married a man who does even stranger things in his sleep than I do!! One night last week, in the middle of the night, he rolled over and put his arm around me and just started praying. He was thanking God for providing for us...that's the gist that I got from it (seeing as how I was still mostly asleep). I thought it was kinda random but didn't think much about it. The next morning I asked him if he remembered it and he had no idea what I was talking about. Later, he vaguely remembered dreaming about praying before a meal.

However, my wonderful husband does pray with me, for me and over me all the time. Everytime that I have a headache and he prays over me, it goes away. (Not to say that I don't take something for the headache at times, but I will believe in the power of our Heavenly Father over the power of anything of this world-any day!) Brandon often talks about people in other parts of our world who have no choice but to rely on God's grace and healing when they have a headache--they do not have the luxury of going to the store to pick up something and take it. They pray and put their hope in the Lord. How wonderful to be so dependent on His provision and protection. It seems like such a detriment that we have the conveniences that cause us to forget that we still need a Savior--and not just for salvation, but for everyday strength to walk it out!!

To wrap up a random post with an additional random point: my husband and two other pastors from our church are leaving at this moment for a week-long conference in L.A. Pray for them!
