A Little About Me

I am a small town girl from Gruver, Texas. I was blessed to grow up knowing and loving Jesus. I loved playing tennis and basketball when I was younger. In college at West Texas A&M University, I studied special education. Those 4 years birthed some of my fondest memories with treasured friendships to this day. I taught in a resource classroom in Amarillo for 2 years before moving to Korea to teach English for a year. I learned a lot that year about life and about myself. I moved to Lubbock when I got back to the states and married the man of my dreams. I finished my master's program for professional counseling and am working toward licensure. Brandon and I moved our little family to Colorado Springs in November 2013 to begin a new adventure :) We had a son, Calvin, who was born July 10, 2010 and a son, Luke, who was born (on Brandon's birthday) July 23, 2013. Nine months later, God brought us back to Lubbock. I teach elementary art at the same amazing Christian school where my kids attend. I also get to be a counselor in a non-profit clinic that helps young women. Brandon teaches seniors about the Bible and is the boys' head basketball coach at the same school (also his alma mater). In March 2017, God blessed us with a precious baby girl, Mollie Grace. God is good and life is an adventure!
